This Forum will be the 35th in a series of meetings, which take place annually across Europe, rotating around the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Italy, The Netherlands and Russia. The first ERF was held in Southampton, England, in 1975 and the most recent in Liverpool, England in 2008.

The 35th European Rotorcraft Forum will take place in Hamburg, Germany from 22nd to 25th September 2009.

Venue

Hamburg, with about 1.8 millions inhabitants, is one of the most beautiful cities in the world and also one of the most economically successful. A major factor in Hamburg's economic success is the port of Hamburg. But Hamburg is also the place for aviation. Besides Seattle and Toulouse it is one of the three leading locations for aviation worldwide with approximately 26,000 aeronautical employees, the aviation industry with Airbus and Lufthansa Technik, 200 aviation suppliers and an airport with 250 companies.

Ideally located in the heart of the city, the Radisson SAS Hotel is the tallest hotel of Hamburg, standing at impressive 120 meters. Its unique architecture and height have made the hotel a city icon and authentic landmark and offer guests stunning views of Hamburg. A multi-functional conference/meeting space on a separate floor allows hosting events up to 1,000 people, which makes the Radisson SAS Hotel in Hamburg the appropriate venue for the 35th ERF in 2009.

Language

English will be the official language at the Forum. There will be no simultaneous translation.
